She jumped up and used her dolphin kick. She jumped back and watched as Cloud would defeat the creature.

Clouds pulled his sword out and pressed a swich on the hilt that fired out many blandes that circled the monster. Cloud dashed toward each blade and cut through the monster then combined them all back into one and cut down the middle of the monster and landed in front of Tifa as the monster fell in defeat.

She was amazed at the power Cloud held with his buster sword. She let out a tiny smile at Cloud.

Cloud sheathed his buster sword and turned back to Tifa. "Fun."He said with a small smile.

She tilted her head and looked at his expression. It wasn't a real smile, but she could live with that. A small smile was not as good as the smile she adored, but she could take it after so many months of brooding.

"If you say so" she said softly. "You aren't hurt are you?"

"No. I'm ok. Did the fight wake the kids?"He asked, looking back toward the bar.

She looked up at the window knowing that they weren't looking out. She walked towards and bar and she ran upstairs. She smiled as she heard Denzel snore. She popped her head in and she sighed in relief.

She walked downstairs softly and walked over to the bar.

"They're fine"

"Heavy sleepers."He replied with a small laugh.

She giggled.

"Denzel is loud enough to make Marlene a heavy sleeper" she said amused.

She looked at him curiously.

She looked at him confused.

" What do you mean?" she asked tilted her head.

She froze and looked at him absolutely shocked. She knew they were childhood friends and she knew she had grown to love him from a crush, to puppy love, to young love and then real love. She had conformed herself to the role of best friend after Aerith grew on them. Based on how Cloud reacted to her death she thought that he loved her.

He still might she thought and she inwardly agreed.

She pushed the romantic thoughts and thought only platonic patting his hand.

"I hope you will, I want my best friend with me too" she said softly.

Cloud looked to his hands."I see..."He muttered. Cloud was devistated by him being a friend. After all these years he had thought they were together.

She frowned and leaned towards him.

Isn't this what he wanted?

"Cloud......talk to me?" she said softly and squeezed his hand.

She froze and her eyes water.

"Cloud.......no...no you don't" she said softly. "You...you love Aerith"

She tugged her hand and held it to her chest.

"I cared about her...because I once made a promise to Zack...before he died...It was...live my life for the two of us....and he wanted me to take care of Aerith and show her the most beautiful skies. Because she was terrified of the sky when zack met her...he said that she thought it would swallow her up."He replied."Aerith...was the only thing that reminded me of zack. She became my best friend...and when she died...it was like losing him all over again..."

She looked down her eyes watering. She couldn't believe it, those two were too close for her to believe that comment. He lived in her church and every time she walked in she would feel a stranger. She loved him, but she just couldn't see how he couldn't love Aerith. She was beautiful, kind hearted, and nothing but amicable.

"Cloud...." she said softly. "I..."

She closed her eyes and wiped some tears away.

Cloud moved over and wrapped his arms around Tifa in a tight hug. "I dont wanna lose you too."He said as a lone tear slid down his cheek.

She trembled and wrapped her arms around his neck. She closed her eyes and shook her head.

"You can't I've always been there" she replied.
